Messenger RNA - Glossary Term

Messenger RNA (or mRNA) is RNA that copies information from DNA in a cell nucleus and transfers it into the cytoplasm that surrounds the nucleus. In the cytoplasm, the RNA acts as a template for the synthesis of a particular protein.
