Life Sciences Laboratory Equipment
World Precision Instruments has been producing a vast range of innovative life sciences laboratory equipment since 1967 including the world's leading nitric oxide and free radical detector the Apollo 4000, the EVOM voltohmmeter for TEER research, and EVC4000, the leading epithelial voltage and current clamp amplifier.
Nitric Oxide Measurement
Innovations include the world’s leading nitric oxide measurement and free radical detector. Compatible sensors for hydrogen peroxide, hydrogen sulfide, oxygen, and temperature are also available.
Cell Culture and Tissue Research
Our EVOM (epithelial voltohmmeter) was the first instrument designed specifically to perform routine TEER (Trans Epithelial Electric Resistance) measurement in cell culture and tissue research. The Myobath is a complete tissue bath system that is easy to use and cost effective. A variety of tissue holders are available, including those designed specifically for mouse research.
Dissecting Instruments
WPI carries a complete line of precision dissecting instruments including Vannas scissors, Dumont forceps, hemostats, retractors, scalpels, ronguers, vessel clamps, needleholders, Iris scissors, ear tags, and cautery units.
Intracellular & Extracellular Bioamplifiers
Amplify and measure bio-potentials within a cell preparation using one of our Intracellular & Extracellular bioamplifiers. We also offer a variety of specialty instrumentation designed to address specific applications. These applications include bio-potential discrimination and micro-pressure measurement.
Electrophysiology
Precision stereotaxic instruments available for with both single and dual micro manipulators. A variety of accessories including ear bars, gas masks, mouse and rat adapters, and cannula holders. These frames are electrically continuous and convenient for electrophysiology.
General Laboratory Supplies
Large selection of low-toxicity adhesives for live tissue, silicone adhesives, epoxies, precious metal wire, luers, fittings, cables and connectors for all your general laboratory supplies.
Pumps and Fluid Handling
Wide variety of fluid handling tools for volumes ranging from nanoliters to liters. Three different technologies are utilized in our range: peristaltic, syringe pumps, and pneumatic injectors.
Spectroscopy
Optical detection systems including the UltraPath, a unique multiple long pathlength sample cell for absorbance spectroscopy. Wide variety of quartz cuvettes at very competitive prices.
