Swiss WorldCargo is the cargo division of Swiss International Air Lines Ltd. With its global network of over 150 destinations in more than 80 countries and its broad range of products and services, Swiss WorldCargo creates genuine added value for its customers and makes a substantial contribution to SWISS’s earnings results.
Swiss WorldCargo takes pride in distinguishing itself from competitors by its quality of service throughout the product chain with brands such as Swiss X-Presso, Swiss Valuables, Swiss Argus, Swiss Mail, Swiss General Cargo and our latest product brand in the temperature-controlled market segment: Swiss ° Celsius, confirming that the developments on the product side are aimed primarily at niche markets.
Swiss WorldCargo’s network includes the entire belly-hold capacity of the SWISS fleet plus third-party capacities of Lufthansa Cargo, Air Canada and others. The airfreight network is augmented by a finely meshed truck network in Europe and North America, accounting for around one quarter of Swiss WorldCargo’s total freight volumes, and enabling Swiss WorldCargo to support integrated global supply chains for its customers.
Following the announced acquisition of Swiss International Air Lines by Lufthansa, the cargo entities Lufthansa Cargo AG and Swiss WorldCargo are also aiming to improve market reach and customer satisfaction by combining their strengths.
The two companies share a common vision of creating an optimised cargo organisation within the Lufthansa Group to operate the airfreight business of both Lufthansa Cargo and Swiss WorldCargo. Swiss WorldCargo also just concluded a sales partnership with Lufthansa Cargo Charter to add another niche service to its portfolio.
