As a specialist in hermetic connectors and glass-to-metal seals, Martec has many years experience designing and manufacturing high performance interconnect products engineered to mate with military specification components and systems. As examples, Martec connectors meet the stringent military requirements of standards including MIL-C-5015, MIL-C-26482, MIL-C-83723, MIL-C-38999 and ESC10.

Positioned as a 2nd tier supplier to international military and aerospace equipment manufacturers, Martec's products and technologies are operating in applications ranging from fast jets and sub-sea towed sonar arrays, to rockets and air-to-air missile systems.

With ISO 9001:2000 and BSI Quality Assurance Audits, full traceability is provided for all manufacturing operations. Quality programmes include mechanical/electrical inspection, plus non-destructive testing to, for example, DIN 50987, ASTM B568 and ISO 3497 for plating thickness. In-house ultrasonic wire bond testing is supplemented by gold plating qualification and, where required, 100 per cent leak testing is offered for failsafe hermetic sealing.

Staying with the theme of quality and manufacturing excellence, Martec's world-class business philosophies encompass total quality management (TQM), six-sigma and lean manufacturing techniques.

In addition to standard products, Martec offers custom hermetic connectors and glass-to-metal seal solutions. Design capabilities include CAD and 3D solid modelling, while in-house manufacturing resources range from plating and heat treatment, to vacuum brazing and pressure testing.

Logistics services include ship-to-line, ship-to-stock, JIT, MRP, OPT and KanBan.
