Kottermann - The Steel Laboratory System

Just over 50 years ago, on May 20 1946, Johann Köttermann founded a small manufacturing business in Hänigsen, northern Germany. A lot has happened since then. Köttermann has grown into an international industrial enterprise that for 30 years has specialised in the design and manufacture of steel laboratory furniture. In 1991, Köttermann launched the Systemlabor, a complete range of laboratory units made of high-quality steel.

Köttermann is a company that has built on its traditions to become a forward-looking enterprise with a modern business structure. The Systemlabor is marketed worldwide by our subsidiaries in Germany and other European countries and a network of independent dealers in other regions. Close contact with our customers fosters a lively, ongoing exchange of ideas.

Our quality management systems are DIN ISO 9001 certified – your guarantee of professional quality management. The safety and functionality of Köttermann laboratory furniture is documented by a large number of DIN and international certifications, CE and GS marks.

Environmental protection is a high priority. Köttermann has had DIN EN ISO 14001 accreditation since 1996.

Environmental considerations take a front seat in all processes, from product development, through manufacturing and installation to recycling. This has led to our being the first laboratory furniture manufacturer to be certified to the strict European environmental standards (Eco-audit).

Quality is one consideration – design another.

The Köttermann Systemlabor helps people to work more efficiently. Partly because it's good to look at. We have won several prestigious awards for innovative design. For example: "This award is intended to document performance of the highest order that sets standards for design" (Design-Zentrum North-Rhine Westphalia).
