Diagnostic Products Corporation is a worldwide provider of immunodiagnostic systems and reagents. DPC's tests supply information vital to the detection and management of adrenal/pituitary dysfunction, allergy, anaemia, bone metabolism disturbances, cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, infectious diseases, inflammation, reproductive and thyroid disorders, and therapeutic drug levels, allowing DPC to serve major clinical and veterinary diagnostic areas.

IMMULITE ® Turbo assays provide test results in about 15 minutes. The impact of DPC's patented technology on the future of patient care will be to reduce costs and improve patient outcomes.

The IMMULITE ® 2000 has the features the laboratory needs for workstation consolidation and productivity. It meets routine and esoteric testing needs with advanced software and an expanding menu that now includes over 80 assays.

3gAllergy™ permits laboratories to perform allergy testing as easily as any other immunoassay on the same platform. Now labs can bring allergy testing in house, without specialised instrumentation, dedicated workstations or additional labour and capital equipment costs.

The IMMULITE ® 2500, built around the many positive attributes of the IMMULITE 2000, includes the very important addition of Logic Driven Incubation (LDI™) LDI technology allows assays to be designed for optimal performance with the fastest possible incubation time. This means certain assays, such as DPC's cardiac biomarkers and HCG, can now be run in 15 minutes.

The Sample Management System (SMS) is an optional robotic sample handler for the IMMULITE 2000 and IMMULITE 2500 systems. Up to 200 samples can be loaded at any one time, and it offers continuous sample transfer to and from the system. The SMS has the capacity to accommodate alternative vendors' sample racks and will serve as a single sample-entry point for the Immunoassay Workcell, which combines the strengths of two IMMULITE 2000 and/or IMMULITE 2500 systems. SMS has the capability of being universally connected to any open Total Laboratory Automation (TLA), track or Workcell system, providing our customers with the flexibility to meet many of their automation needs.

DPC RealTime Solutions™ encompasses a line of Internet-based service support products including DPC RealTime QC™, peer group analysis, adjustment reports and the key component, DPC RealTime Service™. DPC RealTime Service employs intelligent device management technology to enable DPC instrument systems to send critical instrument data over the Internet in real time. It shifts the focus to prevention rather than repair, and enables proactive planning for service needs before they occur.

DPC UK is a wholly owned sales and marketing affiliate of the Los Angeles based Diagnostic Products Corporation.

Since it's foundation in 1986 the company has significantly increased its' share of the UK's Immunodiagnostic market on the performance and reliability of the IMMULITE and IMMULITE 2000 instrument systems. This success is also attributable to the company's ongoing focus on customer needs, as evidenced in the rapid expansion in employee numbers in the areas of customer support and service.

The UK Team

DPC's success is largely attributable to the outstanding talents and abilities of its employees. Without the dedication of our field based staff and those workers based in the offices and laboratories in Llanberis, DPC could not have achieved the significant increase in it's share of the UK Immunodiagnostic market which has been seen over recent years.

The Sales Team

Thorough training at our manufacturing sites in Llanberis, Los Angeles and New Jersey, combined with over 60 years of diagnostics sales experience, ensures that the DPC sales team are well equipped to serve the needs of our customers and distributors.

Technical Support

The Technical Support group is responsible for supporting approximately 250 systems based throughout the UK and Ireland. The group is comprised of System Engineering Support and Technical Support.

By working in close co-operation these teams bring a holistic approach to any customer issues, ensuring problems can be dealt with efficiently and promptly. Response times to customer issues are one hour by telephone, although in most cases this is immediate, and eight working hours for an on-site Systems Engineer visit.

Customer Service

Responsible for dealing with customer calls, Customer Service are happy to direct your enquiry to the appropriate department. In addition they handle processing of customer orders, plus any questions relating to invoice and delivery.

Events

In addition to direct support of instrumentation and assays, DPC aim to support our customers by organizing meetings designed to meet a variety of needs. Over recent years this has included a Cardiac Focus group, Scientific Symposia, Technical Users Forum, Veterinary Forum and Management Meetings.
