BioApproaches SW is a Lifesciences support group for the South West of England, a programme funded by the South West of England Regional Development Agency (SWRDA) and managed by Great Western Enterprise Ltd (GWE).
BioApproaches SW is the hub for the Lifesciences and Biotechnology Knowledge Economy of the South West and acts as an access point for the region with a focus on the industry’s immediate needs. In its brokerage role it is committed to the economic growth of the sector through strategic steer, promotion and proactive networking.
BioApproaches SW publishes an e-newsletter, hosts an online calendar of events, a directory of membership (see www.bioapproaches.co.uk) and develops promotional material and press releases for the industry.
Via a brokerage model BioApproaches SW provides access to funding, recruitment of personal and training opportunities.
BioApproaches SW objectives include:
- Networking for biobusiness growth
- Access to business support and funding
- Promoting the sector regionally and beyond
- Professional development and graduate placements
Membership of BioApproaches SW is open to any Lifesciences and Biotechnology company, academic research institute, bioindustry-support or service organisation in Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset, Gloucestershire and the former Avon area. Outside the region affiliate membership is available.
