Avacta Analytical is an ISO 9001 registered company, working to the principles of GLP, which provides high-end analytical services to the biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical and healthcare industries specialising in biophysical analysis, spectroscopy and microscopy.

Avacta has extensive internal resources and expertise and compliments these with direct access to the infrastructure and expertise of leading UK Universities. The creation of the Biophysical Toolkit® and ViVax Toolkit™ represents a significant advance in the characterisation of the higher order structure and biophysical behaviour of protein therapeutics including viral vaccines. Working with leading biopharmaceutical companies these tools have been successfully applied to all stages of a products lifecycle including comparability studies, formulation studies, problem solving, secondary screening and fundamental research.

As part of the Avacta Group plc, Avacta Analytical has access to instrumentation specialists via its instrumentation development sister company Avacta Ltd which is developing state-of-the-art technologies with the potential to fill huge unmet needs in the biopharmaceutical, homeland defence and clinical markets. Based in York, UK, the Avacta Group occupies purpose built laboratories at the Biocentre in the University Science Park.
