Prosonix Ltd, (Oxford, UK) and CBC Co. Ltd (Tokyo, Japan, hereinafter CBC), announce the renewal of an agreement to cover the commercialisation of Prosonix patented sonoprocessing technology.
The technology will be marketed exclusively by CBC in Japan under the Prosonix brand.
The deal comes follows on from Prosonix's acquisition of the C3 Technology business of Accentus plc on March 31st 2006. CBC had previously undertaken the marketing of the Accentus C3 Technology brand in Japan from 2003.
Prosonix vision is to become acknowledged world leaders in the commercialization of proprietary added value ultrasonic process solutions, and firmly intends to build upon the rapid growth and highly successful business development previously concluded under the C3 Technology brand.
CBC are a leading independent company in the marketing of technology differentiated products and services to the Japanese chemical and life sciences industries. CBC are the partner of choice for several global chemical businesses and have a number of strategic investments and JV's in a range of Far East chemical manufacturing companies. CBC have also been successful in securing high profile technology licenses and developing significant brand equity in Japan on behalf of their corporate partners. In the year ending March 2006 CBC achieved sales of approximately $500 million USD in life sciences.
Prosonix are based in new state-of-the-art facilities at the Oxford Science Park, Oxford UK. Core markets include Pharmaceuticals, and Minerals Processing, where Prosonix sonocrystallization technology is employed at commercial scale for the Complete Crystallization ControlTM of customer's products, processes and unit operations. Prosonix has rapidly evolving activities in the oil and gas markets, confectionary and bioprocessing.
Prosonix also have established a number of strategic partnerships with a range of global leading academic institutions and technology partners that places Prosonix firmly at the cutting edge of the next generation of commercial scale ultrasonic process intensification solutions.

These include international award winning CrystalGEM™ predictive crystallization technology, new SAX™ nanocrystallization technology, and a brand new area of focus in Sonobiocatalysis™.
