SubscribeSartorius has launched a new hygienically designed load cell, the first to be completely compliant with the stringent hygiene regulations of the food and beverage industry.
The PR6202 is the result of three years intensive research and fifty years experience in load cell design. The complete design process was carried out according to GMP guidelines in order to ensure compliance with regulations in the pharmaceutical and bioprocessing industries, and to make qualification and validation of systems easier and more straightforward.
Even if automated weighing and batching systems are usually not in direct contact with the product, the immediate surroundings of the production vessels, tanks and mixer must still be kept in hygienic condition at all times to rule out the buildup of dirt and grime and to thus reduce the potential risk of contamination. The smooth shape and hermetically sealed stainless steel construction of the PR6202 ensures there is nowhere for dirt to hide.
The load cell and an accompanying hygienic mounting kit are available from Sartorius now in capacities from 1t to 50t.
