European Product Introduction at MipTec 2005

REMP AG

REMP Tube Technology™ for the Lab Bench.

The famous REMP Tube Technology™, which has become the most preferred format for compound storage over the last few years, is now available for applications outside of large scale automated sample stores. With the introduction of the REMP Tube Punching Module (TPM), tubes can be easily re-arrayed and reformatted using only a small area at your lab bench.

Tube Punching WorkstationSeamless Integration

Since the REMP TPM has been designed not only for stand-alone usage but also with systems integration in mind, it can seamlessly be built into robotic systems or workstations to fully automate even complex processes.

For MipTec 2005, Hamilton has created a Tube Punching Workstation which consists of a Hamilton MICROLAB®SWAP robot, Microplate stack holders, a barcode scanner and the REMP Tube Punching Module (TPM). It took the Hamilton software engineers only a few hours to write a driver for the REMP TPM Server. This Workstation demonstrates how compact, clean and easy sample picking and reformatting can be done when applying the REMP Tube Technology™.

Ideal Storage Conditions – Contamination free Sample Transfers

Punching Tubes are available in racks of 384 or 96 and can be individually sealed, which allows for an ideal sample storage environment. These Punching Tubes are ideal for applications where fast and reliable random access of samples is as important as sample integrity. Dilution effects and the risk of cross-contamination, often introduced with traditional liquid handling, is eliminated through the use of the REMP Tube Technology™. Additionally, the relatively low cost of a single-use Punching Tube quickly leads to an overwhelming savings on disposable tips, wash liquid and time.
