Biotechnology Center’s Yonnie Butler Among Speakers At Technology Conference
National meeting taps veteran pharmaceutical company consultant
Yonnie Butler, MBA, Business Development Director at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, is a presenter today at the World's Best Technologies (WBT) Showcase in Arlington, Texas.
Butler, who joined the Biotechnology Center last month, has more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, contract research (CRO) and consulting industries. In his most recent role, he was business development executive and managing consultant in charge of several large North American pharmaceutical accounts for Tunnell Consulting headquartered in the Philadelphia area.
He has also worked for Roche, LabCorp, Magellan Laboratories, Cardinal Health and PharmaDirections.
Technology Commercialization
Butler is on a panel discussing the topic, "Getting to Yes in Technology Commercialization." Moderated by Robert Robb, associate director of the University of Texas-Dallas, the panel is intended to provide attendees coaching on the difficulties and delights encountered in commercializing university innovation-stage technologies.
Butler was to be joined on the panel by Erik Molander, managing director of Mentor Capital Partners; Daniel Winegarden, president of the Iowa tecTERRA Fund; and Shekar Rao, worldwide manager of Texas Instruments' Medical Electronic Solutions.
The Biotechnology Center is a private, non-profit corporation supported by the N.C. General Assembly. Its mission is to provide long-term economic and societal benefits to North Carolina by supporting biotechnology research, business and education statewide.
