Biotechnology in North Carolina
North Carolina's dynamic biotechnology industry produces many products that affect our everyday lives. The industry also employs about 18,500 state residents in such areas as biomanufacturing and drug development. The Center maintains a directory of the state's 198 biotechnology companies, 83 contract research organizations, and numerous companies that provide services for those companies.

Our library staff provides fee-based research on a variety of topics, in addition to maintaining subscriptions to more than 200 journals about biotechnology business.
