Nickel-Electro's New Spatulas and Tongs aren't Sticking Around

Nickel-Electro

Nickel-Electro, a leading manufacturer of laboratory instrumentation is introducing a new range of PTFE XYLAN® coated spatulas and tongs.

PTFE XYLAN® coated spatulars

The PTFE XYLAN® coating offers users a wide range of important benefits. It provides a non-stick surface to which only very few solid or liquid substances permanently adhere. As it is non-protein binding and does not support biological growth, it is ideal for laboratory applications.

In addition to its non-stick qualities, the coating offers a unique combination of chemical inertness, purity, low permeability, heat resistance and toughness. PTFE XYLAN®has excellent non-wetting properties making the spatulas and tongs very easy to clean and suitable for steam or chemical sterilisation.

The coating has excellent heat resistance and cryogenic stability with a temperature range from -195°C to as high as 260°C. This makes the new spatulas and tongs ideally suited to lifting and handling hot, cold or chemically active materials.

Meanwhile, the chemical resistant of the PTFE XYLAN® coating makes it impervious to chemical environments. It provides good resistance to both acid and alkali solutions.

Melvin Dickson, Managing Director of Nickel-Electro says “These new PTFE spatulas and tongs combined with our existing range of laboratory metalware available in a variety of materials including aluminium, stainless steel, nickel and zirconium provides our customers with a single source of many types of laboratory consumables”.

All products in the Clifton range come with a 3 year warranty.
