Colin Booth, Vice President Science and Technology at Oxoid Limited, will be one of the key speakers at this year's Microbiology for Non-microbiologists' event in Berlin, on the 19-20th October.
Colin Booth will share his expertise with delegates from the pharmaceutical industry, including responsible personnel in production, QA, engineering and regulatory affairs.
The aim of 'Microbiology for Non-microbiologists' is to help responsible personnel to understand and interpret microbiological data and to evaluate their significance for further decisions.

Topics will include:
- The characteristics and growth of micro-organisms
- Detection and identification techniques
- Method validation
- Cleaning, disinfection and sterilization methods
- Environmental monitoring
- How to handle out-of-specification results.

There will also be "hands-on" workshops on endotoxin testing and troubleshooting in microbiological QC.
