SubscribeLabcaire now have two PCR cabinets available for the processing of samples.
The PCR6 is a mini vertical laminar flow cabinet that provides better than Class 100 clean air conditions at the worksurface. To further reduce the risk of contamination, the PCR6 has a built in UV steriliser.
Between amplifications, simply place all pipetted, tubes and flasks in the cabinet, fit the lightweight nightdoor and after 5 minutes the UV light will switch off and all potentially contaminating DNA will be destroyed.
The PCR8 has all the same attributes at the PCR6 however also offers containment to BS EN 12469:2000. Working in a similar way to a Class II cabinet, it therefore protects the operator from exposure to any hazardous materials.
Both cabinets are manufactured from Zintec powder coated mild steel to prevent corrosion and also utilise the latest HEPA filtration techniques and filter seals to ensure optimum working conditions for the operator.
