Walis Jones and Arun Harish of Farfield Group Ltd have recently completed a tour of a number of Institutions in Europe to promote Farfield’s unique Dual Polarisation Interferometry (DPI) technology and its applications across a range of Biophysical disciplines.
They visited the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, Ludwig Maximillians Universität (LMU) in Munich, The Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry in Martinsried near Munich and the University of Innsbruck, giving a range of seminars, workshops and demonstrations of the technology. This offered the participants the chance to learn about the technology itself, get an update on new application areas, see the instrument in action and have open discussions about individual needs and how AnaLight® can fulfil them.
The whole event was a tremendous success with much new interest generated. A big thank you to all the people who helped us organise and promote these activities and make them so rewarding for all concerned.
AnaLight®: Biophysical Techniques
We are keen to build on this and set up similar events in other locations to help researchers understand how AnaLight® can help them to push their research to a level beyond that offered by more traditional biophysical techniques.
Molecular Behaviour of Biofilms and Biocompatible Surfaces
AnaLight® also has a range of applications in surface science including detailed characterisation of the molecular behaviour of biofilms and biocompatible surfaces, as well as surfactants, detergents, lipid bilayers and liposomes, all at market-leading levels of sensitivity and resolution.
If you would like Farfield to visit your workplace to offer a seminar or workshop tailored to your department's interests, please get in touch with me and we'll see what we can arrange for our 2008 programme.
