HemoCue will arrange a symposium "Prediction and monitoring of cardiovascular and renal risk in diabetes".
The symposium will take place in Copenhagen September 13, just before the EASD (September 14-17) congress.
We invite you to a unique afternoon where researchers, clinicians and patient organizations come together in an opportunity to share information, knowledge and ideas on how to improve cardiovascular and renal care within primary health care.
Together we can optimize early detection of critical risk factors that have a very strong influence on patient's health outcome. And more importantly we can put the knowledge
gained to effective use.
Many patients with type 2-diabetes, as well as persons suffering from diabetes, but not yet diagnosed, live normal busy lives and have primary health care as the regular physician contact.
What can be done to further improve compliance, reduce severe complications and maintain the healthiest life possible for individuals in these groups?Internationally recognized lecturers will guide you through the biochemical risk profiling of cardiovascular and renal disease at the point of-care.
The focus will be put on the role these different parameters play in cardiovascular and renal risk prediction and the positive effects of changing treatment and behavior. The view of the patient organizations will provide you with a deeper understanding of how renal disease affect a person's daily life.
We are confident that the EASD Copenhagen-Malmoe will become yet another unforgettable annual meeting of the EASD. We hope you will enjoy not only an outstanding scientific programme, but also the vibrant atmosphere of the Øresund region and the two cities.
