Sir Allen McClay becomes 12th member of Invest Northern Ireland's 'Hall of Fame'
Almac Group Chairman and founder, Sir Allen McClay, has been inducted as the 12th member of Invest Northern Ireland's Hall of Fame which recognises the most creative and successful entrepreneurs in Northern Ireland.
Sir Allen was given the honour as a result of his entrepreneurial flair in setting up Almac, as well as his commitment to academic research which includes the funding of the McClay Trust, a charitable organisation which promotes Chemistry and Pharmacy education at Queens University, Belfast.
The ceremony was held at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, Bangor, Co. Down as part of Invest Northern Ireland's Enterprise Week.

Following the ceremony Sir Allen said: "I am very pleased to receive this honour which recognises the hard work and efforts of each member of the 2,000 strong Almac family. Our company is committed to world class research and development of superior solutions for the advancement of human health."
"Our people are our most important resource, and there is no doubt that we have the talent within the Group. We are committed to the ongoing development of our headquarters in Craigavon and our extensive network of facilities in the US," he added.
Sir Allen joins 11 other inductees in the Hall of Fame.
