A new service for the biopharmaceutical industry has been released by the Avacta Group Plc, the ViVax Toolkit™.
The Toolkit is designed to assist companies in predicting difficulties in drug research, before they become apparent, and thereby, to reduce their inconvenience and cost. It uses numerous different methods to investigate a range of vaccines in order to evolve new drugs, improve the synthesis process and adhere to current regulations
This is intended to meet urgent demand for fast, but thorough evaluation of composite biologicals, responding to the requirements of current customers, as well as companies throughout the industry.
During the course of the vaccine's development from early research to evaluation of the end result, there is a strong need for accurate classification of materials to ensure that the resulting vaccines are synthesised correctly and reliably.
The ViVax Toolkit™ with the benefit of high value outsourcing service along with the anticipation of significant savings in time and costs for customers and the sustained provision of rapid and effective biophysical techniques.
Prof. Alastair Smith, Avacta Group plc Chief Executive Officer, commented:
“We are confident that this new service, which builds upon existing Avacta services, expertise and technology, will be readily adopted by biopharmaceutical companies worldwide focused on developing the ‘well characterized molecules’ required by regulators.
“The ViVax Toolkit™ will provide viral, cancer and other types of vaccine developers with a powerful and rapid method of characterising their materials for regulatory
approval, and is an important new service for the sector with significant far-reaching opportunities.”
