Piccolo is the first compact, broad menu clinical chemistry analyzer designed for near patient testing in any treatment setting. Care givers can now perform routine multi-chemistry and electrolyte panels with less than one minute of hands-on time.

Complete panel results that are comparable in quality to larger, expensive laboratory analyzers are available in under 15 minutes, using only a few drops of whole blood, serum or plasma.

Measuring 15 cm (6 in.) x 29 cm (11 in.) x 24 cm (9 in.), the Piccolo Point-of-Care Blood Analyzer weighs only 6.9 kg and can be easily transported to any location. Adaptable to line or battery power, Piccolo operates from any 12-volt source, and is equipped with an RS232 port for computer data handling.

The Reagents

Piccolo reagents are conveniently packaged as single-use plastic rotors. Each reagent rotor contains a diluent and all the reagents necessary to perform a complete multi-chemistry blood analysis.

Piccolo reagent disc panels are configured to aid in disease diagnosis or monitor disease treatment.

My name is Bärbel Köhler, I work with the Abaxis European Branch Office in Germany for several years as an International Sales and Marketing Manager. Our headquarter is located in Union City, California USA.

I am responsible for building up new markets in the Point-of-Care and the Veterinarian sector in Europe, Middle East and Africa. My special skills in the laboratory medicine, focused in Haematology and Clinical Chemistry help me to organize trainings, workshops etc. Also these skills enable me to provide the end-users with specialized knowledge.

We support our customers with marketing material, which we update regularly and we visit our distribution partners where we also go the end-users and help on side. Further we organize join-calls, marketing and technical trainings and present Abaxis on different congresses.
