Using the MorphoSys' HuCAL GOLD® recombinant antibody library to rapidly generate highly specific custom antibodies and the highly sensitive Chimera' Imperacer™ technology, ELISA assays can now be developed against any given antigen in record time. The resulting Imperacer kits are characterized by unparalleled antigen specificity and by increased assay sensitivity down to sub-picogram levels.
The Imperacer advantage for your ELISA
The Imperacer technology combines the advantages of flexible and robust protein detection through ELISA with the exponential signal amplification typical for PCR. Imperacer uses antibody-DNA conjugates as a substitute for the antibody-enzyme conjugate used in a standard ELISA. Amplifying the conjugated marker-DNA typically results in a 100 - 10,000-fold increase in sensitivity over enzyme-linked assays.
Imperacer is currently used in human and veterinary diagnostics, bio-pharmaceutical research, biological defense, and in the food, beverage, and cosmetics industries. It is used for a wide variety of highly sensitive analytic applications such as virus detection, Prion analysis, pharmacokinetic studies, detection of toxins in food and beverages, and quality assurance for cosmetics.
Generating highly specific antibodies
Highly sensitive detections systems require highly specific antibodies to be effective. AbD Serotec uses HuCAL GOLD, a proprietary recombinant antibody library technology, to select antibodies against any given antigen in about 8 weeks. The process is performed entirely in vitro, and no laboratory animals are involved. Pre-adsorption and intelligent counter-screening during the antibody generation process can be used to drive the selection towards the unique epitopes on the antigen.
This allows the selection and purification of highly specific antibodies in record time. The HuCAL technology is also extremely well suited for non-immunogenic antigens. Deliverables
All kits are custom developed to client specification. This means that our clients define the antigen, the desired specificity and the desired detection limit. The kits are delivered including all rights for R&D purposes and can be simply reordered. Imperacer kits focus on novel antigens such as new and low-abundance biomarkers. Screening programs for new or low abundant biomarkers are also available.
