Already known for its innovative approach to the development and creation of low temperature freezers, FROILABO became part of the Firlabo group in 1999. With more than 50 years experience at manufacturing freezers, Froilabo is a well-known and respected European company.

The ARTIC range of freezers is designed to store sensitive biological products at low temperatures. They benefit from the latest technology and standards and have full microprocessor control. The control panel has a liquid crystal display, which continuously shows the operating temperature, the set temperature, alarm settings and any faults detected.

ARTIC range of freezers

In the ARTlC range, both upright and chest freezers are available as a -45°C or as an -85°C version.

There are six upright models, ranging in capacity from 80 to 700 litres. The chest freezers have a capacity of 255 litres or 403 litres.

Interior chambers are stainless steel with 130mm foam insulation. Secondary doors are fitted to each shelf and castors are fitted to all models.

ARTIC chest freezer lid

ARTIC chest freezer lids have compensating hinges and a hydraulic lift. This ensures that the lid stays up safely, during loading and unloading. To ease access, the height of ARTIC chest freezers has been kept below 1 metre.

microprocessor with a liquid crystal displa

The Central Control System is a microprocessor with a liquid crystal display. It manages temperature regulation and alarm system as well as monitoring the general operating conditions of the refrigeration system. Any anomalies, that it detects, it displays on the screen.

safely store cryoboxes, microtubes, microplates or anatomical specimens

A range of storage systems is available to make optimum use of the space and to safely store cryoboxes, microtubes, microplates or anatomical specimens.

To protect both the user and the environment, Firlabo and Froilabo products, only use non-inflammable, CFC -free refrigerant gases.

upright freezer

The smallest, upright freezer in the ARTIC range, is the 80 litre. This has an overall height of 850mm and is designed as an under bench unit.

Here it is shown fitted with an optional 7 day, circular chart recorder. RS232 or 485 interfaces are also fitted to each freezer to allow connection to a data processing system or to a computer.

A CO2 back up system can be provided to maintain internal conditions in the event of a power failure.
