Category: Glove Integrity Tests | 03/07/2007 - 12:02:47
The unit to test consists of glove, cuff ring of the glove, sleeve and cuff ring of the sleeve. So all parts and interfaces of the glove port system can be tested in place.
The glove integrity test unit is mobile on wheels, so it can be used on different Isolators.
The unit is made of stainless steel 304L, the surface is grounded.
Purpose
The glove tester is designed to test glove/sleeve systems mounted on an isolator, half suits and Isolators. The test can be done either in a positive or negative pressure mode. Isolators can only be tested in a positive pressure mode.

Technical Data
| Test pressure | +/- 100 - 4000 Pa (variable) |
| Flow range | 0.2 - 10 ml/min for glove test |
| Power supply | 110 - 230 V / 50 - 60 Hz (P+N+PE) |
| Standard | CE compatible, UL on request |
Skan Glove and Isolator Test Unit, Typ HSPG-4
Description
The glove integrity test unit consists of a basic unit with pressure chamber and control system. The necessary test pressure for the integrity test is generated inside the pressure chamber.
The gloves are closed with test covers. A tube connects the pressure chamber of the HSPG with the glove and allows the pressure equilibration of the two compartments.
- If the glove is tight, the air flow created by the pressure equilibration will become zero after a period of time and the glove/sleeve assembly has passed the test.
- If there is a leakage, a constant flow in the tube will compensate the losses through the hole. The air flow inside the tubes is monitored separately for each glove by flow indicators, the data is registered and can be printed as a test protocol.
Monitoring
The system is controlled by an integrated computer with a touch screen. This computer does not only allow an automated test procedure and the input of batch related data, it does also monitor all data occurring during the test.
The computer runs with Windows NT and software based on FIX from Intellution.
The data can be stored on the build in hard disc or taken over via USB port. It is also possible to print a test protocol on the included colour printer. Up to 6 glove ports and the reference port can be printed out at the same time. Also a job and a lot-number can be printed, together with date and time.
Test Covers
To close the gloves a test cover has to be attached to each glove port. The cover is equipped with a pneumatic gasket that guarantees a tight connection, as well as the fixation of the port during the test.
A tube for compressed air connects the test covers and the glove ports. The pneumatic gasket has to be pressurised with compressed air (1.5 bar) supplied by the customer. If the test has to be done for negative pressure, instead of the test cover a test cylinder will be used.
