The unit features a modular design designed to accommodate Bioquell's cutting edge HPV generators, but readily adaptable to alternative disinfectants including formaldehyde.

The Material Air lock decontamination chamber is successful in combating a broad variety of viruses and microorganisms. It is less damaging than an autoclave to laboratory equipment, and demands less power. The system, along with a hydrogen peroxide vapour generator is gentle enough that it can be used to clean electronic devices such as calibration systems and laptops.

The MAL decontamination chamber features an integrated PLC overseeing cycle parameters. PBSC offer a range of chamber dimensions and a choice of stainless steel or solid core pneumatic seal doors. The system may be supplied with an integrated HPV generator.

Surface Bio-decontamination

PBSC's Material Air Lock is ideal for situations where equipment and materials must be transferred in or out of contamination controlled areas, and certified decontamination cycles are needed. The system is employed in high containment laboratories for surface bio-decontamination in the life science, pharmaceutical, healthcare, food and defence industries.

For pharmaceutical applications, the MAL chamber can be used for materials being passed into a cleanroom, and can also decontaminate products leaving the cleanroom (with a supervisor password) without compromising the containment of the environment. The chamber features an air-decontamination cycle for removal of airborne particulates as opposed to bio-decontamination, allowing the system to function as a normal pass-through chamber where needed.
