Laboratory Transfer Hatches and Dunk Tanks

PBSC laboratory transfer hatches enable contained transfer of laboratory materials for implementations ranging from high containment BSL4-Ag biohazard laboratories to non-containment facilities needing air purging or ultraviolet light treatment.

Laboratory Transfer Hatches

PBSC offer a range of laboratory transfer hatches with mechanically or electro-mechanically interlocked doors.  Pneumatic seals and door control systems may be added for high containment applications.

Floor-height installations enable the transfer of carts and larger items, while wall-mounted installations are perfect for transferring smaller, portable equipment and materials.

PBSC laboratory transfer hatches can be supplied in a choice of phenolic resin, stainless steel, glass or powder-coated carbon steel according to the containment level required. All hatch designs include PBSC's mechanical door-interlock technology with tried and tested door seals.

Dunk Tanks

PBSC also offer a selection of Dunk Tank designs for PLC-controlled or manual transfer of products.  The dunk tanks enable contained transfer of laboratory products through submersion in a decontaminant solution.

Dunk tanks can be fitted with interlocked doors to ensure that containment is maintained even when the dunk tank is empty.

A range of fumigation chambers are also available for high-level material decontamination.
