Electrothermal, a division of Bibby Scientific, now offer a free £890 cooling plug when you buy a STEM Omni Reaction Station.
Between the 1st of July and the 30th of September 2012, Electrothermal will be giving away a free cooling plug to each customer buying a STEM Omni Reaction Station. These versatile research instruments provide an energy-efficient 'lab-in-a-box' solution for laboratory heating, stirring and cooling. The reaction stations are effective for heating reagents between ambient temperature and 220ºC. With the addition of the Cooling Plug, the system can reach low temperatures down to -30ºC. This increases the range of reactions that can be carried out, without requiring a messy ice bath. Visit the website for advice on how to receive your free cooling plug, and for other offers from Bibby Scientific.
STEM Omni reaction stations support parallel synthesis operations with the option of six or ten reactions running simultaneously with sample volumes of 2-250ml for accelerated drug discovery faster screening to find optimum process conditions. Relative to hot plate stirrers, the STEM Omni reaction station can cut operating costs by up to ninety percent, representing an annual saving of thousands of pounds.
Electrothermal's General Manager, Peter Day, advised: "Our range of STEM Omni Reaction Stations is among the best on the market. The models offer precise control, excellent performance and flexibility, resulting in time and cost savings and improved efficiency. Offering the ability to conduct back to back studies, they are superb instruments for speeding up the discovery and development process in the lab."
The cooling plug offer is available for the entire range of STEM Omni reaction stations to offer heating, cooling and stirring for flexible parallel synthesis reactions. The compact OS1025, OS6050, OS6100 and OS6250 reaction stations can be accommodated under a fume hood, or in a small area of bench space. The intuitive touch pad and straightforward menu system enable users to configure temperatures, stirring speeds and system performance for unattended operation, making the reaction station a flexible laboratory instrument.
Identical base controllers are used on all variants of the STEM Omni reaction station, irrespective of the choice of glassware, heating blocks and reflux heads, so the devices are fully interchangeable. The systems can accept sample volumes between 2-250ml with stirring speeds between 100-2000 rpm and heater cartridges with "in block heaters" supplying temperatures as high as 220ºC. The casing is designed to be cool to touch, for safe operation in busy laboratory environments.
